Sunny Cali

Well. How's that weather treating you? Yeah, yeah, it was all rain and gloom here for about 2 weeks, but now it feels a little more like sunny California.

(if you look real close you might be able to see our tent in the middle of the island)

To take full advantage of our weather Kel and I have been trying to get out and do some hiking. Here are a few shots of a mountain that the pups and I tackled when Kel was working.

The pups get there victory treat once we get to the top.

And there I am holding my victory treat

We also got out on the water with Jake, our volunteer coordinator.

I think I was made for this job.

I think we might have the potential for a new mod squad tv show.

Kelly hates it when my hair looks better than hers. What can I say? Some people can pull off a feathered mullet, that's all I'm saying.

Probably because of my fabulous hair Kelly has been trying to keep up with her workouts. I made her some weights as a consolation prize for not having the best feathered hair on the boat ride.

Call now and for just 4 easy payments of 37.89 you can get the whole set!

Hurry while supplies last!

Here is another hike that Kel and I went on.

Beautiful locks only get touched by mountain spring water.

That and it was getting hot.

Well, along with the hiking I've been keeping myself occupied doing a bit of brewing.

Jalapeno wine, orange wine, and some hard cider. Maybe I'll just mix them all together and call it a blend.

Other than that everything has been going great. I'm not sure but I think this whole bread winner thing might be going to Kelly's head... you tell me.

Holiday Survival

Well we hope you survived the holidays and didn't have too much eggnog. Right, like there is such a thing...

We made it back to camp and this is the last of the beach that the puppies got to play on. It has been raining nonstop and the lake has since risen 18 vertical feet.

To kick off our holidays, Frank and Lisa paid us a visit. The weather didn't exactly cooperate, but we still got to make it up to see the sequoias and some snow.

Yeah it was cold up there.

We had an awesome time and they were great sports for dealing with the weather that we had.

Coming back down the mountain was pretty much the only time Frank and Lisa got to see the sun while they were here. We had just gotten above the clouds and stopped and took some pics. Frank snapped this one of me.

It was a great visit and made us just a teeny bit homesick.

From there we headed down to sunny SoCal to hang out with Lane and Craig. We stayed for a few days at Craig's parents, Pete and Sharon's house. There was plenty of board games, mince meat pies (which don't have meat by the way, what kind of meat pie doesn't have meat?), and stylish hats as the pictures show.

Even once we got home the Christmas spirit had not diminished. Once home we opened our care packages and BOOYA! Sexy, sexy Christmas sweaters...

It was a great holidays and we missed everybody. The weather has gotten a bit nasty as of late.
Here is a nice shot of some sleet we got.

But no worries. Its nice and cozy inside.
