We decided we'd take our last little adventure up to Acadia. So we left our camp to go ... uh... camp. Yeah, I know.

So after getting over a good dose of irony we started a good hike up the Pemetic Mountain.

Yup Rocky made it... barely. I did have to lift him over a few of the cliffs, but he and GiGi are official mountain dogs now and can walk tails held high through the doggie community.
While scanning the horizon I spotted a Pirate ship.

Had I brought my cannon our borders would be that much safer. Anywho it still had a killer view.
Needless to say after that Rock was pretty much spent. I think he still holds a grudge for me making him get to the top of that mountain and there be no water or doggie treats. Kel and I decided to make it up another while the pups took a break.

So there is the top of Dorr. By this time the pups were ready for round two.So we started heading up Gorahm.
Wildlife!

Ok, so even Kel and I are sitting down at this point.
We wandered around a bit and cooled off down by the ocean.

Our last trip was up Cadillac Mountain. Pups had to sit this one out as well since the climb was too steep.

So the best thing is once we got to the top there was a parking lot. Yeah apparently you can just drive to the top. But the nice thing about having a lot of people at the top is there is always someone there to take your picture. I asked this gent who had some kind of telephoto camera that could see into space and this is the picture he took.

On the way down we found a bit of Flintstone furniture.
A rather full full day, but this is Maine so no farewell tour is complete without a lighthouse.

Then a nice sunset back at camp away from camp.

Well we made it back but not without a few bumps in the road... literally.

All is well though and since we've been back we have made sure we have been taking full advantage of having a full kitchen.

So it looks like we'll be taking off to Cali around the 25th or so. Pine Flat Lake being the next destination. Find us or we just might find you.
